Together they provide authoritative independent evidence of New Zealand’s business environment, and New Zealand’s competitiveness as an investment location. Information is displayed in a selection of simple, user-friendly graphs and charts that clearly and accurately illustrate New Zealand’s competitiveness.
The New Zealand in Profile data set presents a selection of national geographic, demographic, economic, and business statistics. It gives investors an overview of the national economy, including total size, sectoral base, growth rate and export and import balances.
The New Zealand Business Costs data set gives prospective investors an overview of New Zealand business. The data provides up-to-date indications of the costs of doing business in New Zealand.
Information ranges from freight costs to energy and telecommunications tariffs. Many of these costs are presented in tables which provide comparisons with other Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries.
